FINAL DRIVE SPECS

1. These Toyota Supra diffs, will they need to be shimmed to tighten the
LSD? The ones I have fiddled with in the J/Y are VERY loose and you can
make the diff slip with your (my) bare hands. They don't seem very much 
LS to me stock. If that is the case, why not get any ratio you can find 
(3.73, 3.9 are common) with the 8" ring&pinion and put a ratio of your 
choosing in while rebuilding the LS? It is the same ring gear set as the 
Toyota truck "V6" and "Turbo" 8" gears and are very cheap and available
in ratios up to 5.17.
