There are a couple ways you can go. The easiest is to go out and find the old Mopar "rally" setup and put that on. It had Monroe Formula GP's with Mopar rally springs. It's not the most durable setup and will probably need to be replaced every season (depending on how and where you drive). You could also swap out the formula GP's in favor of adjustable Koni's (not any stonger, but supposedly handle better). The second option (though probably the most expensive) is to go with a custom DMS setup. Dave Clark did this on his Omni mainly because he had some extra bits laying around. He has mentioned he could get a setup for anyone interested, but nobody has put any hard cash down yet. Dave has struts on all four corners. My guess is that the Japan spec Nissan Pulsar front struts coupled with a rear setup from a VW rabbit would probably be a bolt in fit. You might need spacers on the front though. The third option is to build a custom setup (this is probably the most difficult from a technical stand-point). This is what our Omni has. Mark U. cut the top off a set of stock Omni front struts and took the guts out. He then cut the threaded top off a Rabbit housing and welded that top to the stock Omni bottom (careful measuring is required). Now we have a stock Omni housing that takes Rabbit strut cartridges. The Bilsteins we have are valved for road racing right now, but they seem to work pretty good (and I am not ready to dump $2500+ into a DMS setup...not YET) The rears are very simply Rabbit rears. With the addition of a Ground Control coil over kit, you have a budget Omni rally suspension. Maybe someone else can chime in as to what they have seen used. An old Talbot Sunbeam setup might fit too...though I don't know exactly what was used there.
